On 21st September 2008 pteg - in association with Northern Rail and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council - named a train after Barbara Castle. The event marked the fortieth anniversary of Barbara Castle's 1968 Transport Act which - among other things - created the PTEs and PTAs.
