Transport authority leaders pay tribute to Cllr Angus Adams

Cllr Angus AdamsLeaders of Britain’s six largest transport authorities have paid tribute to Cllr Angus Adams, the Chair of the West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority, who died suddenly yesterday.

Cllr Mark Dowd, who Chairs the ITA Special Interest Group, said:

‘I was deeply saddened to hear the news about Cllr Adams. He was a man of character, with a real commitment to serving the interests of public transport, and the people of the West Midlands. At the same time he was down to earth and never lost his sense of humour or perspective. He was a pleasure to work with and he will be missed by Councillors of all political persuasions on the ITA Special Interest Group. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.’
